Since their formation in 2013, $uicideboy$ have been a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop scene. Made up of New Orleans cousins Ruby da Cherry and Scrim, they mix Punk Rap, Trap Metal, Cloud Rap, and Emo Rap into a sound that’s all their own. They first gained attention on SoundCloud with their self-produced tracks and raw, honest lyrics about substance abuse, mental health, and life’s struggles. They run their own label, G*59 Records, giving them total creative control. Their album “I Want to Die in New Orleans” reached the top ten on the Billboard 200, showing their appeal goes beyond the underground.
