Synth Hop really took off in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and blends those rhythmic hip-hop beats and lyrical flows with the futuristic, ambient sounds of synth music. It’s all about those layered beats, and artists are always playing around with all kinds of electronic effects and synth patterns. The lyrics can be about pretty much anything but usually stick to classic hip-hop themes like personal stories, social issues, and solid storytelling.
