Synth Hop really took off in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and blends those rhythmic hip-hop beats and lyrical flows with the futuristic, ambient sounds of synth music. The lyrics can be about pretty much anything but usually stick to classic hip-hop themes like personal stories, social issues, and solid storytelling.
